For your midterm project, you will choose a famous Coloradan from the list I give you, research that person so that you find essential information about their life, and then create a dynamic presentation about that person.

All presentations must include the following information and will be graded on the following:

  • Introduction page: your name, date, famous person
  • Images or video of your person
  • Teach any necessary vocabulary: what words does your audience need to know (5 words maximum)
  • Brief History of person: Who is the person?  What do/did they do?  When did they live in Colorado or what is his/her connection to CO? Where did their story happen? Why did their story happen? How did they succeed?
  • Your opinion about the person: What surprised you about them? What’s their impact on Colorado, other Coloradans, or on the world?  Why did you choose them?
  • Provide a list of sources on the final page that you used & quote/cite any sources that you used
  • You will need to research your information from CREDO Reference or other sources (you cannot use Wikipedia).
  • 10 minute time-limit for your presentation (one letter grade will be taken off if your presentation is 1 minute or more longer or 1 minute or more shorter)

As soon as you know who you want to present on, you need to sign up for that person and a date and order of presentations.
